Gold Coast Fitness Mogul Shutting Down Activewear Brand After Health Scare
Gold Coast fitness influencer Ashy Bines has announced she is shutting down her size-inclusive activewear brand Baseline. Her 999,000 followers have been left heartbroken by the decision.
She also owns Saski Collection and Tammy Fit, her online health and fitness app is booming during the lockdown. She told her Hanging with the Hembrows podcast that life is non-stop work.
Ashy Bines
Ashy Bines is one of Australia’s biggest fitness influencers. The Gold Coast mum rose to fame with her online Bikini Body Challenge and went on to launch an activewear brand, create several fitness apps and become a wife and mother. But her meteoric rise to social-media fame hasn’t come without controversy. Her Clean Eating Guidelines have been branded as ‘detrimental’ by the Dietitians Association of Australia and her followers have reportedly followed them at their peril.
This week the fitness model shocked her 999,000 Instagram followers by revealing she’s putting her business and social media commitments on hold after suffering a brain aneurysm. She has since been flooded with messages of support as she reveals she’s ‘closing chapter two for her biz and health’. Her size-inclusive clothing brand Baseline has been shut down.
She tells Body+Soul she’s been battling the life-threatening condition for almost three months now. Despite the setback, she says it’s given her a renewed sense of purpose. ‘It has made me realise what is really important in life,’ she said. ‘And it’s not just my fitness journey but the women that follow me, and how I can help them through their own health and wellness journey.’
Saski Collection
Social media influencer and mum-of-three Tammy Hembrow recently sported a skintight black unitard on a NSW beach for a Saski Collection shoot. The Aussie beauty, 28, posted a series of pictures to Instagram in the racy workout gear while she was on location near Kiama. Tammy wore the black style with her long copper hair down and a small handbag.
The entrepreneur also owns fitness app Tammy Fit and fashion label Saski Collection, which has been bucking the coronavirus lockdown trend with sales surging thanks to its ballet-pretty activewear in conscious fibres and production methods. Her designs have also been popular with expectant mothers, who have been raving about the line’s maternity activewear.
CEO and Founder Jason Daniel’s vibe chasing mentality has clearly led to his company’s incredible financial success, celebrity endorsements (Zac Efron and Hilary Duff are fans!) and quality garment output.
Tammy Fit
As a fitness influencer Tammy has always taken a very hands on approach to her content. This allows her fans to feel like they know her and trust her endorsements. Tammy often posts sponsored content that is directly related to her workouts and gym routine.
This is what has helped her grow and expand her business. Her consistent before and after pictures motivate her followers to pursue a healthy lifestyle. She also makes sure to include workout routines that are realistic for the average person to follow.
Tammy also uses her social media to promote her own clothing line. She launched Saski Collection in 2017 which has been a huge success. The clothing line specializes in matching sets that are popular with fitness influencers such as Gymshark.
In addition to her clothing line, Tammy has a YouTube channel that she uses as an outlet for her personal life. The channel has over a million subscribers and includes videos on fitness tips, workouts, and lifestyle tips.
Tammy is currently a mother of two and owns a beautiful home on the Gold Coast. She is also an avid insta-traveller and loves sharing her travels with her followers.
